Colorful Confetti Cake with Triple Frosting Delight

Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Salted Butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 4 large Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 cup Sprinkles
- Buttercream Frosting (for one layer)
- Cream Cheese Frosting (for one layer)
- Ermine Frosting (for one layer)

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 8-inch round cake pans with butter. Line the bottoms with parchment paper for easy removal.

2. Prepare the Cake Batter
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened salted butter and granulated sugar until fluffy and pale, about 3-4 minutes using an electric mixer.

3. Add Wet Ingredients
Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Mix in the vanilla extract.

4. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking powder.

5. Mix in Buttermilk and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk, starting and ending with the flour mixture. This helps maintain the cake's moisture and texture.

6. Incorporate Sprinkles
Gently fold the sprinkles into the batter using a spatula, being careful not to overmix to maintain the colors of the sprinkles.

7. Bake the Cakes
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cake pans and smooth the tops with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. Cool the Cakes
Allow the cakes to cool in their pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

9. Assemble the Cake
Place one cooled cake layer on a serving plate and spread a generous layer of buttercream frosting on top. Add the second cake layer and apply a layer of cream cheese frosting. Top with the final cake layer and spread a thick layer of ermine frosting over the entire cake.

10. Decorate
Add additional sprinkles on top for decoration if desired. Serve the cake by slicing into wedges.
