Decadent Chocolate Strawberry Ice Cream Sundae Cups
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
- 1 pint chocolate ice cream
- 1/2 cup crushed peanuts
- 1/4 cup sprinkles
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chocolate Cups:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, melted butter, and powdered sugar. Stir until smooth.
- Using a pastry brush, coat the inside of oven-safe silicone muffin cups thoroughly with the chocolate mixture.
- Place the silicone cups on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for PT10M (10 minutes) until the edges slightly firm up.
- Remove the tray from the oven and let the chocolate cups cool completely in the silicone molds before demolding them carefully.
2. Prepare the Sundae:
- Once the chocolate cups are cool and firm, place a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a scoop of chocolate ice cream into each chocolate cup.
3. Add Toppings:
- Top each ice cream cup with sliced strawberries and a generous dollop of whipped cream.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle chopped chocolate, crushed peanuts, and sprinkles over the top.
4. Serve Immediately:
- Carefully place each sundae cup onto a dessert plate and serve immediately for a delightful treat.
