Cheesy Jalapeño Popper Snack Bites
Ingredients
- 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 12 slices of bacon, halved
- Toothpicks
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
2. Prepare the Jalapeños
Carefully cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise. Use a small spoon to remove seeds and membranes for a milder flavor. If you enjoy extra heat, consider leaving some seeds.
3. Make the Cheese Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
4. Stuff the Jalapeño Halves
Using a spoon, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, pressing slightly to ensure the filling is compacted.
5. Wrap with Bacon
Take a half slice of bacon and wrap it around each stuffed jalapeño half, securing with a toothpick to keep it in place.
6. Bake
Place the jalapeño poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the cheese filling is bubbly.
7. Cool and Serve
Allow the jalapeño poppers to cool for a few minutes before serving as they will be very hot. Enjoy them warm as a flavorful snack.
