Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread
- 4 ounces of cheddar cheese, sliced
- 1 cup of kimchi, drained and chopped
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ingredients:
Lay out your 4 slices of bread on a clean work surface. Distribute the sliced cheddar cheese evenly among the bread slices.
2. Add the Kimchi:
Evenly spoon the chopped kimchi over two of the bread slices on top of the cheese. Ensure the kimchi is drained well to avoid sogginess. Top each of these with the remaining slices of cheese.
3. Assemble the Sandwiches:
Place the remaining two slices of bread on top of the kimchi and cheese layers to form two sandwiches. Press them gently but firmly to compact the ingredients.
4. Butter the Bread:
Spread 1 tablespoon of softened butter on the outside of each sandwich, ensuring a thin, even layer covers the entire surface of the bread.
5. Preheat the Skillet:
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat on the stove for about 2 minutes.
6. Grill the Sandwiches:
Place the buttered sandwiches into the preheated skillet. Cook for about 4 minutes on one side until golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.
