Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Slice them into bite-sized pieces for quicker and more even cooking.
2. Create the Sauce Mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the Teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and pineapple chunks.
3. Thicken the Sauce: In a small separate bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until smooth. Add this mixture to the sauce to help it thicken during cooking.
4. Combine Ingredients: Add the chicken pieces to the bowl with the sauce mixture, ensuring the chicken is thoroughly coated.
5. Initial Microwaving: Cover the bowl with a microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap (leave a small corner open to vent steam). Microwave on high power for PT5M (5 minutes).
6. Stir and Continue Cooking: Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and stir the chicken and sauce. Re-cover and return the bowl to the microwave. Cook on high power for an additional PT7M (7 minutes) or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
