Lemon Paprika Roasted Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts (approximately 1.5 pounds)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix well to create a flavorful marinade.
3. Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
4. Prepare the Baking Dish
Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil. This will prevent sticking and add flavor.
5. Arrange the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in the prepared baking dish. Pour any remaining marinade over the chicken.
6. Roast in the Oven
Place the dish in the preheated oven and roast for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
7. Rest and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This helps the juices redistribute and keeps the chicken moist. Serve warm, garnished with additional lemon zest if desired.
