Creamy Cilantro Lime Dressing
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves, packed
- 2 green onions, roughly chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeds removed and roughly chopped
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Instructions
1. Prepare Ingredients: Roughly chop the green onions and jalapeño. Measure and gather all ingredients before starting to ensure a smooth process.
2. Combine Base Ingredients: In a blender, add 1 cup of mayonnaise and 1/2 cup of sour cream. Blend on a low setting for about 30 seconds to combine.
3. Add Liquid Components: Pour in 1/4 cup buttermilk, 1/4 cup milk, and 3 tablespoons of fresh lime juice. Continue to blend until smooth, approximately 1 minute.
4. Incorporate Cilantro and Jalapeño: Add 1 cup of fresh cilantro leaves, the chopped green onions, and jalapeño into the blender. Pulse the blender several times until the cilantro and jalapeño are finely chopped and evenly distributed within the mixture.
5. Season the Dressing: Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of fine sea salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of fresh ground black pepper into the blender.
6. Final Blend: Blend on medium for another 1-2 minutes until the dressing is smooth and all ingredients are well incorporated.
7. Taste and Adjust: Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if necessary. Additional lime juice, salt, or pepper can enhance flavor as per personal preference.
