Raspberry-Soy Glazed Dinner Delight
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Raspberry-Soy Glaze:
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh raspberries and 1/4 cup soy sauce.
- Add 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger, and 1 minced clove of garlic.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Stir constantly, gently mashing the raspberries with a spoon or spatula.
- Continue to simmer until the glaze thickens slightly and the flavors meld, approximately PT8M (8 minutes).
- Remove the pan from heat and strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a small bowl to remove seeds, leaving a smooth glaze.
2. Assemble the Dish:
- In a shallow dish, add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and coat the surface evenly.
- Pour the raspberry-soy glaze over the dish evenly.
- Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper over the glaze for added depth.
- Garnish with 1/4 cup of sliced green onions and 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds for a fresh and nutty finish.
