Broiled Pepper Medley with Creamy Chili Sauce Dinner Delight

Ingredients

- 1 cup fire-roasted diced green chiles
- 2 large poblano peppers
- 2 large Anaheim peppers
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

1. Preheat the Broiler:
- Set your oven to the broil setting. Allow it to preheat for about 5 minutes.

2. Prepare the Peppers:
- Wash and dry the poblano and Anaheim peppers.
- Cut each pepper in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and ribs.

3. Broil the Peppers:
- Arrange the poblano and Anaheim pepper halves, skin side up, on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- Drizzle the peppers with olive oil, ensuring each pepper is lightly coated.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven about 6 inches from the broiler.
- Broil the peppers for approximately 10 minutes, or until the skins are blackened and blistered.

4. Steam and Peel the Peppers:
- Remove the peppers from the oven and immediately transfer them to a bowl. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap.
- Let the peppers steam for about 5 minutes.
- After steaming, peel off the charred skins. Be careful, as the peppers will still be hot.

5. Prepare the Creamy Chili Sauce:
- In a medium bowl, combine the fire-roasted diced green chiles and sour cream. Stir until well mixed.
- Add salt, black pepper, and cumin to the mixture, blending thoroughly to combine flavors.

6. Assemble the Dish:
- Place the peeled poblano and Anaheim pepper halves on a serving platter.
- Generously spoon the creamy chili sauce over the broiled peppers.

7. Serve:
- Allow the dish to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy as a delightful dinner accompaniment or a satisfying standalone dish.
