Oven-Baked Cranberry Sprite Glaze Bites
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 cup Sprite
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Set your oven to 350°F. This gives your cranberries the perfect temperature to absorb the flavor and bake evenly.
2. Prepare the Cranberry Sprite Mixture:
- Rinse the fresh cranberries thoroughly under cold water, then pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the cranberries with the Sprite. Ensure that all cranberries are fully submerged. Let them soak for about 10 minutes to absorb the sweetness and fizz of the Sprite.
3. Dust the Cranberries:
- After soaking, drain the cranberries, and gently pat them dry again.
- Place the cranberries back into the now-empty mixing bowl.
- Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the cranberries, and using a spatula, toss until each berry is fully coated with sugar. This will create a lovely sugary crust once baked.
4. Bake the Cranberries:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the sugar-coated cranberries evenly across the baking sheet in a single layer to ensure even cooking.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the cranberries have burst and the sugar forms a crisp glaze around each berry.
5. Cool and Serve:
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the cranberries to cool for about 10 minutes on the sheet.
- Once cooled, they are ready to enjoy as a sweet and tangy snack!
