Instructions



1. Prepare Jalapeños:
Begin by thoroughly washing and drying the jalapeños. Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each jalapeño into 1/4-inch rings, removing seeds for a milder flavor or leaving them in for an extra kick.

2. Set Up Crock Pot:
Place the sliced jalapeños into the crock pot. Ensure they are spread evenly to allow for uniform brining.

3. Prepare Brine Solution:
In a medium-sized bowl, combine 3 cups of water with 2 tablespoons of salt and 1 teaspoon of citric acid. Stir until the salt and citric acid are completely dissolved, creating a clear brine solution.

4. Pour and Mix:
Pour the prepared brine solution over the jalapeños in the crock pot. Gently stir with a wooden spoon to ensure even coating of the jalapeño slices.
