1. Preheat the Oven:
- Set your oven to 425°F (218°C) and place a medium-sized cast-iron skillet inside while preheating. This step ensures that the skillet is hot when adding the batter, which is key for perfect results.

2. Prepare the Batter:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, kosher salt, and a pinch of ground nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs.
- Gradually add the milk and vanilla extract to the eggs, whisking continuously to combine.

3. Combine Ingredients:
- Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until smooth and lump-free. Let it rest for about 10 minutes. This allows the flour to properly hydrate and results in a tender pancake.

4. Melt the Butter:
- Remove the preheated skillet from the oven carefully (it will be very hot) and add the unsalted butter, swirling to coat the entire surface evenly. Make sure the butter is fully melted but not browned or burnt.

5. Cook the Dutch Baby:
