Oven-Roasted Salsa Verde Cheese Bites with Hummus Dipping



Ingredients



- 6 yogurt tubes
- 6 string cheese sticks
- 3 individual hummus packs (about 6 oz total)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup grainy mustard
- 2 tablespoons capers, drained
- 4 good pickles, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup salsa verde
- 1/4 cup spoonable hot sauce of choice

Instructions



1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Prepare Cheese Bites
- Unwrap the string cheese sticks and cut them each into 4 equal bite-sized pieces.
- Lay out the cheese pieces evenly on a non-stick or parchment-lined baking sheet.

3. Make Salsa Verde Topping
- In a mixing bowl, combine the salsa verde and spoonable hot sauce. Stir until well blended.
- Pour this mixture over the cheese bites, ensuring each piece is generously covered.

4. Oven Roasting
- Place the baking sheet in the oven, roasting for about 12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden at the edges. Monitor closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.

5. Prepare Hummus Dipping Sauce
- In another bowl, mix together the hummus from packs, mayonnaise, grainy mustard, chopped capers, and pickles.
- Adjust flavors by adding more mustard or hummus to taste.

6. Serve
- Transfer the cheese bites to a serving platter.
- Serve warm with the hummus dipping sauce on the side.
