Strawberry Delight Layer Cake

Ingredients

- 1 box strawberry Jell-O cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup frozen strawberries, thawed and mashed
- 1 can (7 oz) whipped cream
- 1/2 cup dehydrated strawberries, crushed

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing them or lining with parchment paper.

2. Prepare Cake Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry Jell-O cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

3. Bake the Cakes: Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans. Place the pans in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.

4. Cool the Cakes: Once baked, remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely (approximately 30 minutes).

5. Prepare Strawberry Filling: In a small bowl, combine the mashed thawed frozen strawberries with 1 cup of Cool Whip. Mix well until fully integrated to form a strawberry filling.

6. Assemble the Cake: Place one cake layer on a serving platter. Spread the prepared strawberry filling evenly over the top. Gently place the second cake layer on top.

7. Top with Fresh Strawberries: Spread a generous layer of Cool Whip over the top layer of the cake. Arrange the sliced fresh strawberries on top for an attractive presentation.

8. Final Touch with Whipped Cream: Dollop each slice with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed dehydrated strawberries for a delightful crunch.
