Oven-Roasted Smoky Boneless Pork Ribs
Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless pork ribs
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preparation: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Seasoning the Ribs: In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, ground mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Rub the mixture evenly over the boneless pork ribs, coating all sides.
3. Searing the Ribs: Heat a large, oven-safe skillet or roasting pan over medium-high heat on the stove. Add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking. Once hot, add the pork ribs. Sear each side for about 2-3 minutes until lightly browned. This step locks in flavors and juices.
4. Roasting in the Oven: Remove the skillet from heat. Pour the barbecue sauce evenly over the ribs, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Cover the skillet or roasting pan with a lid or aluminum foil to keep the moisture in.
5. Cooking: Place the covered skillet in the preheated oven. Roast the ribs for approximately 2 hours. After 2 hours, check for tenderness by inserting a fork. The ribs should easily break apart and be tender. If not, continue to roast in 15-minute intervals until desired tenderness is achieved.
6. Final Touch: Remove the lid or foil during the last 10 minutes of cooking to caramelize the barbecue sauce on the ribs. Monitor closely to avoid burning.
7. Serving: Allow the ribs to rest for about 5 minutes after removing them from the oven. Slice and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side if desired.
