Delectable Oven-Baked Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 6 slices of bread, cubed
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Prepare the egg mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, salt, and ground black pepper until well combined.

3. Assemble the casserole: Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with the melted unsalted butter. Place the cubed bread evenly in the bottom of the dish.

4. Layering ingredients: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bread cubes, followed by the crumbled bacon, diced bell peppers, and chopped green onions.

5. Pour the egg mixture: Carefully pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients in the baking dish, ensuring it covers everything evenly.

6. Bake the casserole: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.

7. Let it cool: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

8. Serve and enjoy: Cut into squares and serve warm.
