Grilled Swordfish with Lime and Cilantro



Ingredients



- 4 swordfish steaks (approximately 6 oz each)
- 2 limes, juiced and zested
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions



1. Prepare the Marinade:
In a medium bowl, combine the lime juice, lime zest, olive oil, chopped cilantro, sea salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. Whisk together until well-blended.

2. Marinate the Swordfish:
Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for fuller flavor absorption.

3. Prep the Grill:
Preheat your charcoal grill to medium-high heat. Aim for a temperature of 400°F. Ensure the grill grates are clean and lightly oil them to prevent sticking.

4. Grill the Swordfish:
Remove the swordfish steaks from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the steaks on the preheated grill. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Use a spatula to gently flip the steaks to prevent breaking.
