Spicy Creole Butter Corn on the Cob
Ingredients
- 4 ears of corn on the cob, husked
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon Dak’s Salt-Free Cajun Voodoo Seasoning
- Salted butter (optional, for extra richness)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Corn:
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil on the stove over medium-high heat.
- Carefully add the corn and boil for about 10 minutes, or until the corn is tender.
2. Make the Creole Butter:
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
- Stir in Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning, fresh parsley, chives, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and Dak’s Salt-Free Cajun Voodoo Seasoning.
- Continue to stir occasionally and allow the flavors to meld for about 5 minutes.
3. Season the Corn:
- Remove the corn from the boiling water and drain.
- Brush the hot corn with the freshly made Creole butter while turning to coat each ear evenly. For added richness, you may also rub a bit of salted butter over the hot corn before applying the Creole butter if desired.
4. Finish and Serve:
- Let the corn sit for a minute to absorb the flavors, then serve hot.
- Garnish with additional chopped parsley and chives if desired for a touch of freshness.
