Bacon Jalapeño Cheese Crisps
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
3. Add Flavor Enhancements: Fold in the crumbled bacon, finely chopped green onions, sliced pickled jalapeños, and cayenne pepper. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the cheese mixture.
4. Form the Crisps: Shape the cheese mixture into small rounds, each about the size of a golf ball. Flatten them slightly to form crisp shapes.
5. Coat with Ritz Crackers: Spread the crushed Ritz crackers onto a plate. Gently press each cheese crisp into the crackers, ensuring both sides are coated.
6. Bake: Arrange the coated crisps on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crisps are golden brown and the cheese is slightly melted.
7. Cool and Serve: Allow the crisps to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring them to a serving platter. Serve warm and enjoy!
