Berries & Cream with Zesty Cardamom Infusion



Ingredients



- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon rose water

Instructions



1. Prepare the Berries:
In a medium-sized bowl, gently combine the blueberries, raspberries, and quartered strawberries. Set aside.

2. Infuse the Cream:
In a saucepan over low heat, pour in the heavy whipping cream. Add the lemon zest, lime zest, ground cardamom, and ground cloves. Stir the mixture carefully, allowing the flavors to meld for about 5 minutes. Be cautious not to bring the cream to a boil.

3. Sweeten It:
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the powdered sugar and rose water until fully incorporated. The goal is to dissolve the sugar completely while maintaining the infusion's flavors.

4. Chill the Cream:
Place the infused whipped cream in the refrigerator to cool, ideally for at least 60 minutes, until it's well chilled.

5. Serve:
Once the cream is chilled, assemble the dessert by spooning the mixed berries into serving bowls or glasses. Top generously with the zesty cardamom cream. Serve immediately for a delightful, refreshing finish to any meal.
