Boiled Corn with Herb Butter Drizzle
Ingredients
- 8 ears of fresh corn, husked
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges (for serving)
Instructions
1. Prepare Herb Butter:
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the 1/2 cup of unsalted butter.
- Stir in the chopped parsley, thyme, and chives.
- Add the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, mixing well.
- Keep the butter warm over low heat, stirring occasionally.
2. Boil the Corn:
- Fill a large pot with water, leaving enough room for the corn without overflowing. Bring it to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Carefully add the 8 ears of husked corn to the boiling water. Cover the pot and reduce heat to medium, maintaining a gentle boil.
- Cook the corn for approximately PT10M (10 minutes) until tender and vibrant in color.
3. Serve:
- Using tongs, carefully remove the corn from the pot, allowing excess water to drip off.
- Place the corn on a serving platter. Drizzle the warm herb butter generously over the ears of corn.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an optional citrus zest.
