Bourbon Coffee Cookie Sundae Delight
Ingredients
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
- 4 large cookies (your choice of flavor; chocolate chip recommended)
Instructions
1. Prepare Ingredients:
- Place 1 cup of vanilla ice cream in the refrigerator to soften slightly for about 5 minutes.
2. Create Coffee-Bourbon Sauce:
- On the stove, heat a small saucepan over low heat.
- Add 2 tablespoons of bourbon along with 1 teaspoon of instant coffee granules.
- Stir gently until the coffee granules are fully dissolved in the bourbon. This should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Continue stirring until the mixture slightly thickens, about another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly while assembling your sundae.
3. Assemble the Sundaes:
- Place one large cookie at the bottom of each serving bowl.
- Scoop softened vanilla ice cream on top of each cookie.
- Drizzle the warm coffee-bourbon sauce generously over the ice cream.
- Top each sundae with a second cookie, lightly pressing it down into the ice cream.
4. Serve and Enjoy:
- Serve immediately while the ice cream is still soft and the sauce is warm.
