Broiled Sweet and Spicy Salmon Delight



Ingredients



- 4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions



1. Prepare the Salmon:
- Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for easy clean-up.

2. Make the Rub:
- In a small bowl, combine the light brown sugar, kosher salt, black pepper, minced garlic, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Add olive oil to the spice mix to form a paste.

3. Season the Salmon:
- Evenly distribute the spice mixture over the top of each salmon fillet, pressing gently to ensure the mixture adheres to the fish.

4. Preheat the Broiler:
- Set your oven to broil on high. Allow it to preheat for approximately 5 minutes.

5. Broil the Salmon:
- Place the baking sheet on the middle rack of the oven.
- Broil the salmon for 7-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the top is caramelized and the salmon flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F for safe consumption.

6. Rest and Serve:
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes before serving.
