Burrata Salad with Peaches, Blackberries, and Fresh Herbs
Ingredients
- 2 ripe peaches, sliced
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 8 ounces burrata cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ingredients:
Start by slicing the peaches into thin wedges, discarding the pit. Wash the blackberries under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Roughly chop the mint, basil, and parsley leaves and set aside. Drain the burrata to remove excess liquid.
2. Heat the Peaches:
Set a non-stick skillet over medium heat on your stove. Allow the skillet to warm up for about 2 minutes.
3. Caramelize the Peaches:
Place the peach slices onto the skillet in a single layer. Let them cook for approximately 2 minutes on each side, or until they are slightly caramelized and soft. Remove the peaches from the skillet and let them cool slightly.
4. Assemble the Salad:
On a large serving platter or individual plates, arrange the caramelized peaches and blackberries.
5. Add the Burrata:
Gently tear the burrata into bite-sized pieces and distribute them over the peaches and blackberries.
6. Finish with Herbs:
Sprinkle the chopped mint, basil, and parsley evenly over the entire salad.
7. Drizzle with Vinaigrette:
Just before serving, drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the salad for a tangy finish.
8. Serve Immediately:
Serve the salad immediately at room temperature to enjoy the full range of flavors and textures.
