Charcoal-Grilled Spiced Meat Wraps with Honey Lemon Drizzle
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, lamb, or chicken)
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 red pepper, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 flour tortillas
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
1. Prepare the Grill
Preheat your charcoal grill to medium-high heat.
2. Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, red pepper, garlic, chili flakes, salt, and green chili. Mix well to evenly distribute the flavors throughout the meat.
3. Shape the Patties
Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and form each portion into a flat patty that will fit comfortably inside a flour tortilla.
4. Grill the Patties
Place the patties on the preheated grill. Cook for 4 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for beef or 165°F (74°C) for poultry. Adjust the grill time accordingly depending on your choice of ground meat.
5. Prepare the Honey Lemon Drizzle
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, honey, and lemon zest. Mix well until a smooth glaze forms.
6. Assemble the Wraps
Lightly grill each tortilla on both sides for about 30 seconds to warm them up. Place a grilled patty in the center of each tortilla.
7. Drizzle and Serve
Drizzle the honey lemon glaze over the grilled patties, fold the tortillas, and serve immediately.
