Cheddar Apple Oatmeal Bake
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup raisins
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground nutmeg, and kosher salt ensuring all dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
3. Mix the Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, combine the applesauce, honey, vanilla extract, and egg. Whisk together until smooth.
4. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures:
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined, taking care not to overmix.
5. Add Apple, Oats, Cheese, and Raisins:
Fold in the diced apple, oats, sharp cheddar cheese, and raisins until evenly distributed within the batter.
