Cheesy Sausage and Hashbrown Breakfast Bake
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork breakfast sausage
- 2 cups Bisquick
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 cups frozen hashbrowns, thawed
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to fully preheat while you prepare the dish.
2. Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground pork breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles. This should take about 10 minutes. Drain any excess grease and set the sausage aside.
3. Mix the Bisquick and Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick and softened cream cheese. Mix well until they're fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth. This will form the base of your dish.
4. Combine the Ingredients: Add the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and thawed hashbrowns to the Bisquick mixture. Pour in the milk to help combine the ingredients smoothly. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
