Chocolate Caramel Fudge Swirl Dessert Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
- 1 cup fudge sauce
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel candy pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Baking Dish
- Line a 9x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing the edges to overhang for easy removal.
3. Make the Batter
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1/2 cup unsalted butter and 1 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add 2 large eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
4. Combine the Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, sift together 1 cup all-purpose flour with a pinch of sea salt.
5. Mix and Fold
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, folding in gently until combined.
- Stir in 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
6. Layer with Caramel and Fudge
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Drizzle with alternating spoonfuls of 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce and 1/2 cup fudge sauce.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and smooth the surface.
7. Create a Swirl Effect
- Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the top layer of batter with the caramel and fudge, creating a marbled pattern.
8. Add Toppings
- Drop spoonfuls of the remaining 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce and 1/2 cup fudge sauce on the surface.
- Sprinkle with 1/2 cup caramel candy pieces and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt.
9. Bake
- Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
10. Cool and Serve
- Allow the dessert bars to cool completely in the baking dish before lifting out using the parchment paper. Slice into squares and serve.
