Chocolate Peppermint Crunch Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups chocolate cocoa cookie dough
- 1/2 cup red peppermint chunks
- 1/2 cup white peppermint chunks
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Set your oven to 350°F and allow it to preheat while you prepare the cookies.
2. Prepare the Cookie Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, start with the chocolate cocoa cookie dough. If it's refrigerated, allow it to sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes for easier handling.
3. Incorporate the Peppermint Chunks:
- Add the red peppermint chunks and white peppermint chunks into the chocolate dough. Use a spatula or your hands to gently fold in the chunks, ensuring an even distribution throughout the dough.
4. Shape the Cookies:
- Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, portion out the dough into balls about 2 inches in diameter. Place each ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving at least 2 inches between cookies to allow for spreading.
5. Bake the Cookies:
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are firm and the centers are slightly soft.
6. Cool Down:
- Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
