Classic Creamy Cheesecake Delight
Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Filling:
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
Instructions
1. Preheat Your Oven:
Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
2. Prepare the Crust:
In a medium bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Stir in 1/2 cup of melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even crust layer.
3. Bake the Crust:
Place the crust in your preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove and set aside to cool slightly while you prepare the filling.
4. Make the Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, beat 24 oz of softened cream cheese with 1 cup of granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until fully incorporated.
5. Assemble the Cheesecake:
Pour the cream cheese filling over the pre-baked crust in the springform pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
6. Bake the Cheesecake:
Place the cheesecake in the oven and bake for about 50 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Avoid opening the oven door during baking to prevent cracks.
7. Cool and Chill:
Once baked, turn off the oven and allow the cheesecake to cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set completely.
8. Serve:
Remove the cheesecake from the springform pan, slice, and serve chilled.
