Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (elbow or shell)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup American cheese, sliced

- Drain and set aside.

- Reduce heat to low, then add cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, and American cheese. Stir until all cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Season the sauce with black pepper, adjusting to taste.
3. Combine Pasta and Sauce:
