Creamy Rotisserie Chicken and Broccoli Penne Bake
Ingredients
- 12 ounces penne pasta
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a medium-sized baking dish with olive oil and set aside.
2. Cook the Pasta:
Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the penne pasta and cook for about 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
3. Prepare Broccoli:
In the same pot of boiling water, blanch the broccoli florets for about 2 minutes until they are vibrant and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
4. Combine the Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne pasta, blanched broccoli, shredded rotisserie chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Add in the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well coated.
5. Transfer to Baking Dish:
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread it out evenly with a spoon or spatula.
6. Add Cheese and Bake:
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the pasta mixture. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the top is bubbly and slightly golden.
7. Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top for a pop of color and flavor. Serve warm and enjoy!
