Crispy Jalapeño & Cream Cheese Wonton Bites
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 16 wonton wrappers
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1/4 cup Thai sweet red chili sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well blended and smooth.
3. Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean, dry surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wrapper.
4. Lightly moisten the edges of each wonton wrapper with water using your fingertip. Fold the wrappers into a triangle or a pouch shape, pressing the edges firmly to seal.
5. Arrange the filled wontons on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the wonton wrappers are golden brown and crispy.
7. While the wontons are baking, mix the sweet chili sauce and Thai sweet red chili sauce in a small bowl until combined. Set aside for dipping.
8. Once the wontons have baked, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
9. Serve the crispy wonton bites with the prepared chili sauce dip on the side.
