Crispy Oven-Roasted Spiced Chickpeas
Ingredients
- 2 cans (15 oz each) of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to allow it to heat up while you prepare the chickpeas.
2. Prepare the Chickpeas:
Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Ensuring the chickpeas are dry will help them crisp up in the oven.
3. Season the Chickpeas:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Add the chickpeas to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
