Crock Pot Savory Pepperoncini Chuck Roast
Ingredients
- 3 pounds chuck roast
- 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dip mix (1 ounce)
- 1 packet Au jus gravy mix (1 ounce)
- 6 whole pepperoncini
- 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chuck Roast
- Place the chuck roast in a crock pot. Ensure the roast fits comfortably without needing to fold or bend it.
2. Season the Roast
- Sprinkle the entire packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Dip mix evenly over the top of the roast.
- Next, evenly spread the Au jus gravy mix across the surface of the roast.
3. Add Pepperoncini and Juice
- Scatter the whole pepperoncini around the roast within the crock pot.
- Pour the 1/4 cup of pepperoncini juice over the roast and pepperoncini to infuse it with flavor.
4. Add Butter
- Cut the unsalted butter into several pieces and place them directly on top of the roast.
5. Set the Crock Pot
- Cover the crock pot with its lid. Set it to "low" heat and cook for approximately 8 hours (PT8H).
6. Check and Serve
- After cooking, check the roast for tenderness. It should easily pull apart with a fork.
- Use two forks to shred the roast directly in the crock pot, mixing it slightly to distribute juices and flavors evenly.
