Crock Pot Turkey Bacon Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients
- 8 slices Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon, chopped
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups frozen hash browns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
1. Prepare the Turkey Bacon:
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon over medium heat until it is just starting to crisp. This should take about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Combine the Wet Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
3. Assemble the Casserole:
- Lightly grease the inside of the crock pot with non-stick spray.
- Spread half of the hash browns evenly across the bottom of the crock pot.
- Layer half of the cooked turkey bacon and half of the shredded cheese over the hash browns.
- Repeat with the remaining hash browns, turkey bacon, and cheese.
4. Pour and Cook:
- Slowly pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients in the crock pot.
- Set the crock pot to low and cook for approximately PT4H (4 hours) or until the eggs are fully set and the cheese is melted.
5. Serve:
- Once cooked, remove the crock pot insert from the heating element. Let the casserole sit for about 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
