Decadent Almond Croissant Bake
Ingredients
- 6 large croissants
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
1. Prepare the Croissants:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- Tear the croissants into large chunks and scatter them evenly in the prepared dish.
2. Mix the Almond Mixture:
- In a medium bowl, combine the slivered almonds, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
3. Prepare the Custard:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.
4. Assemble the Bake:
