Decadent Chocolate Dream Cake



Ingredients



For the Cake:
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2/3 cup neutral oil or light and fruity olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot coffee or hot water

For the Frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter or vegan butter sticks, softened
- 3 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar (powdered sugar)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder
- 1/4 cup heavy cream, milk, or non-dairy milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of fine sea salt

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper for easy removal.
