Decadent Chocolate Nut Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 4 cold eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.
2. Melt and Mix: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup (2 sticks) of unsalted butter until fully liquefied. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar, 3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1/2 tsp of fine sea salt. Mix until a smooth, glossy batter forms.
3. Add Eggs: Crack 4 cold eggs into the saucepan, one at a time, stirring quickly after each addition to prevent the eggs from cooking in the warm mixture.
4. Incorporate Flour: Gently fold in 1 cup of all-purpose flour, ensuring no lumps remain. Be careful not to overmix, which can lead to dense brownies.
5. Add Nuts and Chocolate Chips: Stir in 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts and 1/2 cup of chopped pecans for a crunchy texture. Add 1 cup of chocolate chips for extra indulgence.
6. Baking: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Tap the pan lightly on the countertop to remove any air bubbles.
7. Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it.
8. Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing them into squares for serving. Enjoy the delicious blend of chocolate and nuts in each bite!
