Decadent Double Chocolate Chip Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.
2. Melt the Butter
In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup of butter. Allow it to cool slightly.
3. Combine Sugars with Butter
Add 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of packed brown sugar to the melted butter. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
4. Incorporate Eggs and Vanilla
Add 4 large eggs one at a time, beating well with a whisk after each addition. Stir in 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until well mixed.
5. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Mix until evenly distributed.
6. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid over-mixing, as this can result in dense brownies.
7. Add Chocolate Chips
Gently fold 1 cup of chocolate chips into the batter.
8. Transfer to Baking Pan
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
9. Bake the Brownies
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
10. Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your decadent treat!
