Decadent Microwave Coffee Mousse Delight
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipped cream
- 1/4 cup cold water
Instructions
1. Prepare the Coffee Mixture
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of instant coffee granules and 1/4 cup of cold water. Stir until the coffee granules are fully dissolved.
2. Microwave Coffee Solution
Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on high for PT30S (30 seconds). Stir and ensure the coffee is completely dissolved. If not, microwave for an additional PT10S (10 seconds). Set aside to cool.
3. Whip the Cream
In a large mixing bowl, pour 1 cup of heavy whipped cream. Using a hand mixer or whisk, whip the cream until soft peaks form. This should take about PT3M (3 minutes).
4. Sweeten the Cream
Gradually add 1/4 cup of granulated sugar to the whipped cream, whipping continuously until stiff peaks just begin to form. Be careful not to overbeat.
5. Combine Ingredients
Gently fold the cooled coffee mixture into the whipped cream. Use a spatula to carefully mix until the ingredients are fully combined and you have a smooth, coffee-flavored mousse.
6. Chill the Mousse
Divide the mixture into four small serving bowls or mugs. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least PT1H (1 hour) to set the mousse.
7. Serve and Enjoy
Once set, remove the mousse from the refrigerator. Optionally, garnish with a dollop of additional whipped cream and a sprinkle of instant coffee granules for decoration. Serve and indulge!
