Decadent Pineapple Angel Food Cake Squares

Ingredients

- 1 package (16 oz) Angel Food cake mix
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained

Instructions

1. Preheat Your Oven:
Set your oven to 350°F. This will ensure it is hot enough to properly cook the cake without over-browning the edges.

2. Prepare the Cake Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the entire 16 oz package of Angel Food cake mix with the entire can of crushed pineapple, juice included. Stir together until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed and the batter is smooth and slightly frothy.

3. Shape the Cake:
Pour the batter into an ungreased 9x13 inch baking pan. Use a spatula to spread the batter evenly throughout the pan, ensuring a uniform thickness for even cooking.

4. Bake the Cake:
Place the pan in the preheated oven. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. To test for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake; it should come out clean.

5. Cool the Cake:
Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and place it on a cooling rack. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan to set properly. This will take about 45 minutes.

6. Cut and Serve:
Once cooled, slice the cake into squares. Carefully lift each square out using a spatula and serve on a plate. These cake squares are perfect as a light snack.
