Decadent Pistachio Cream-Matcha Chocolate Tart



Ingredients



- 8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup pistachio cream
- 1 tbsp gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
- 1 tbsp matcha powder
- 1/4 cup chocolate flakes

Instructions



1. Preheat and Prepare Chocolate Mixture:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt together the semisweet chocolate and unsalted butter, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

2. Combine Wet Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring constantly to avoid cooking the eggs.

3. Incorporate Dry Ingredients:
- Slowly fold in the all-purpose flour until the batter is smooth and no flour streaks remain.

4. Bake the Base:
- Pour the batter evenly into a greased 9-inch tart pan.
- Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly gooey.
- Remove and let it cool completely.

5. Prepare Pistachio Layer:
- Dissolve gelatin powder in cold water, letting it bloom for 5 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, gently heat the pistachio cream until warm. Stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved. Set aside and allow to cool slightly.

6. Make Cream Cheese Layer:
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- In another bowl, whip 1 cup of the whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Pour the cooled pistachio gelatin mixture into the cream cheese mixture, gently folding to combine.

7. Assemble the Tart:
- Spread the cream cheese and pistachio mixture over the cooled chocolate base in an even layer.
- Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours, until set.

8. Add Matcha Whipped Cream:
- In a chilled bowl, combine the remaining whipped cream and matcha powder. Beat until soft peaks form.
- Spread or pipe the matcha whipped cream over the pistachio layer.

9. Garnish and Serve:
- Sprinkle the tart with chocolate flakes for a decorative touch.
- Slice and serve chilled.
