Decadent Stove-Top Cookie Crunch Ice Cream



Ingredients



Base Ingredients:

- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-Ins:

- 1/2 cup crumbled cookies
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup miniature chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup toffee bits
- 1/4 cup miniature M&Ms
- 1/4 cup miniature peanut butter cups, halved
- 1/4 cup chopped candy bars
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles

Instructions



1. Prepare Base:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and kosher salt.
- Heat over medium-low, stirring regularly, until the sugar completely dissolves and the mixture is steaming (do not boil). This should take about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

2. Cool & Chill:
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Once cooled, transfer the mixture to a container, cover it, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until thoroughly chilled.

3. Stove-Top Cooking Method:
- Pour the chilled cream mixture back into the saucepan.
- Heat on low, stirring continuously to prevent curdling, for about 10 minutes.
- Once just under boiling, remove from heat.

4. Blend & Freeze:
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container.
- Gently fold in the crumbled cookies, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, miniature chocolate chips, toffee bits, miniature M&Ms, miniature peanut butter cups, and chopped candy bars.
- Stir to distribute the add-ins evenly.

5. Add Sprinkles & Freeze:
- Sprinkle the top with the colorful sprinkles.
- Cover the container and place it in the freezer.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours or until the ice cream is firm.

6. Serve:
- Before serving, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes for easier scooping.
