Deep-Fried Buffalo Ranch Popcorn Delight
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons Buffalo seasoning
- 2 tablespoons Ranch seasoning
- 2 quarts vegetable oil (for deep frying)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Popcorn:
- Heat a large heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat and add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil.
- Place 3 popcorn kernels in the pot and cover it with a lid.
- Wait until you hear the first kernel pop, then add the remaining popcorn kernels.
- Shake the pot gently, occasionally, until all the kernels have popped.
- Once popping slows down, remove the pot from heat. Transfer the popcorn to a large bowl and allow it to cool slightly.
2. Season the Popcorn:
- In a small bowl, mix together the Buffalo and Ranch seasonings.
- Sprinkle the seasoning blend evenly over the popcorn while gently tossing to ensure even coating. Set aside.
3. Heat the Oil:
- In a large deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
4. Deep Fry the Popcorn:
- Carefully add a handful of the seasoned popcorn into the hot oil. Fry for approximately 1-2 minutes until they are golden brown and crisp.
- Remove the popcorn using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Repeat the frying process with the remaining popcorn, ensuring the oil stays at a consistent temperature.
5. Serve:
- Transfer the deep-fried popcorn to a serving bowl. Enjoy immediately as a crunchy, savory snack.
