Deliciously Fresh Cucumber Tzatziki Pita Wraps
Ingredients
- 1 English cucumber, finely diced
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 pieces pita bread
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cucumber:
- Begin by washing the English cucumber thoroughly. Pat it dry with a paper towel.
- Finely dice the cucumber into small, consistent pieces to ensure a uniform texture in your wraps.
2. Mix the Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced cucumber and the crumbled feta cheese.
- Add the tzatziki sauce to the mixture, stirring gently to combine without crushing the feta too much.
- Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. Adjust to taste if required.
3. Assemble the Wraps:
- Lightly warm the pita bread if desired. You can do this by placing them briefly in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 3-4 minutes until just soft and pliable.
- Lay each piece of pita bread on a flat surface.
- Spoon a generous amount of the cucumber and tzatziki mixture onto each pita, spreading it evenly across the center.
4. Wrap and Serve:
- Roll the pita bread over the filling to form a wrap. Ensure that the ends are tucked in to prevent the filling from spilling out.
- Serve immediately, or wrap in parchment paper for easy handling if desired.
