Delightful Honey-Almond Granola
Ingredients
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup almonds, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper, ensuring it covers the entire sheet.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, roughly chopped almonds, cinnamon, and sea salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
3. Prepare the Wet Ingredients:
- In a small saucepan over low heat, add the olive oil, coconut oil, and butter. Stir until they are completely melted and combined.
- Remove from heat and add honey and vanilla extract to the mixture. Stir well until smooth and combined.
4. Combine Ingredients:
- Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to mix thoroughly, ensuring all oats and nuts are coated with the wet mixture.
5. Spread and Bake:
- Evenly spread the granola mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Place the sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove the sheet and stir the granola to ensure even cooking.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the granola is golden brown.
6. Cool and Store:
- Once baked, remove the granola from the oven and allow it to cool completely on the baking sheet.
- As it cools, the granola will become crisp.
- Once cooled, store the granola in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
