Divine Honey-Roasted Almond Snack
Ingredients
- 2 cups raw almonds
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a hint of heat)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Combine Ingredients:
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the honey and olive oil. Stir gently until fully mixed, about 1 minute. Remove from heat.
3. Coat the Almonds:
Place the almonds in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Pour the honey and olive oil mixture over the almonds. Add the sea salt, ground cinnamon, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until the almonds are evenly coated.
4. Arrange on Baking Sheet:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the coated almonds in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
5. Roast in Oven:
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Roast for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure even roasting and prevent burning.
6. Add Sweetness:
Remove almonds from the oven. Immediately sprinkle with brown sugar, and gently toss to coat while the almonds are still warm and slightly sticky.
7. Cool and Serve:
Allow the almonds to cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, they will harden and become crisp. Transfer to an airtight container for storage or serve immediately for a delicious snack.
