Divine White Chocolate Berry Delight
Ingredients
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups frozen mixed berries
Instructions
1. Prep the Berries:
- Place the frozen mixed berries in a medium-sized saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes until the berries are softened and release their juices. Stir occasionally.
2. Prepare the White Chocolate Sauce:
- In a separate small, heavy-bottomed saucepan, add heavy whipping cream and salt.
- Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the cream is warm, approximately 3 minutes.
- Gradually add the white chocolate chips to the cream, continuing to stir until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and silky. It should take around 5 minutes. Be sure not to overheat, as the chocolate may seize.
3. Combine Berries and Sauce:
- Remove both pans from the heat.
- Gently fold the warm white chocolate sauce into the saucepan with the mixed berries. Stir carefully to coat the berries evenly without crushing them.
4. Serve:
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, for about 3 minutes, to enhance the flavors.
- Serve immediately in bowls. Optionally, garnish with a few fresh berries or a sprig of mint for added visual appeal.
