Garlic Parmesan Pita Chips with Herb Yogurt Dip
Ingredients
Pita Chips:
- 4 large whole wheat pita bread
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Herb Yogurt Dip:
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare the Pita Chips:
- Cut each pita bread into 8 wedges (triangles) using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, and salt.
- Place pita wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush each piece with the oil mixture, then evenly sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
3. Bake the Pita Chips:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
4. Prepare the Herb Yogurt Dip:
- In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, parsley, and minced garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix well until fully combined. Adjust seasonings if necessary.
5. Serve:
- Transfer cooled pita chips to a serving platter.
- Pour the herb yogurt dip into a serving bowl and place it alongside the pita chips.
